Seasonal Baby Alpacas

Description

What sets our tour apart is the rare opportunity to step into a real, working alpaca and llama farm — not just observe from a distance. Located in beautiful Bozeman, Montana, our one-hour+, hands-on experience invites guests of all ages and abilities to connect with animals in a meaningful, memorable way. Unlike standard petting zoos or walk-through tours, you’ll feed treats, learn how to halter and handle alpacas, give them baths on warm days, and — depending on the season — meet baby alpacas (called crias) and their moms. You may even witness a live birth or breeding session, as this is a full-time textile farm where life unfolds in real time. Perfect for animal lovers, families, and adventure seekers alike, our group format ensures a personal, immersive experience that’s both educational and unforgettable.

Know Before You Book

Minimum Age: There is no minimum age to join this tour • Maximum Age: 99 years old
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
No public restroom available
Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome on our farm tours. However, please note that the terrain includes gravel, rocks, and dirt paths, which may be difficult to navigate for some mobility devices. We recommend using all-terrain options if available and are happy to accommodate as best we can — just let us know in advance.
A Note to Parents: We love welcoming children to the ranch and believe farm visits can be a magical, educational experience for all ages. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests, animals, and team, we kindly ask that children are supervised at all times. For families with young kids, we recommend a ratio of at least one adult per two children to help guide safe, respectful interactions with the animals and the environment. This is a working farm—and we appreciate your help in keeping the experience calm, safe, and positive for everyone involved (including our alpacas!).
We understand that mobility can be a concern, especially for those who may have difficulty walking longer distances. As a working farm, our property includes uneven terrain such as gravel, dirt roads, and natural rocks, which may present challenges for some guests. That said, our tours move at a relaxed, comfortable pace with plenty of time to enjoy the animals. If you're able to walk approximately 100 yards from the parking area to the barn, we have a shaded swinging chair where you can rest and take in the views. We're also happy to bring alpacas over to you for up-close interactions, so you can still enjoy the experience without navigating the full tour route. We want everyone to feel welcome here and will do our best to accommodate your needs. If you have questions or would like help planning your visit, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Tours cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the tour start time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to start time are non-refundable. Book Now, Pay Later deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.

Along with alpacas and llamas, you will meet our three Turkish Anatolian Guard Dogs, Chili, Hazel, and Finn, they are litter-mates and best friends! Our chickens and horses (seasonal) love welcoming our visitors and will always take some extra treats too! We have ground squirrels, deer, bald eagles, and of course our cat, Jill, will occasionally make a special appearance. Take lots of photos during your time on the farm and with your favorite alpaca (don't forget to tag us on social media). At the end of your tour, you'll get to pick out a keychain or sticker souvenir to remember your visit with us! Please wear closed toed shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and make sure to put on sunscreen as we will be outdoors for the entirety of the tour.
